Lesson 51: An Email from a Friend

What does "Innovative" mean?
An Email from a Friend
Subject: Guess what!
Hi Sarah,
How are you? I hope you are doing well. I have some exciting news to share!
Remember my job interview last week? Well, I got the job! I must be the happiest person alive right now. It is a position as a marketing manager at a really innovative tech company. I can't believe it! I have been dreaming of a role like this for ages.
The salary is fantastic, and the benefits are great too. I might even be able to afford that trip to Japan we were talking about! My new office is in the city centre, so it must be easy to get to. I haven't seen it yet, but I imagine it is very modern.
My new boss seems really nice. I met her briefly during the interview. She must be very experienced because she has been in the industry for over 20 years. She can't be new to this field.
I start next month, so I have a few weeks to prepare. I might buy some new clothes for work. I am so excited! I can't wait to tell you all about it over coffee. Are you free next week? Let me know!
Talk soon,
Emily
