Grammar Focus: Countable and Uncountable Nouns
- Countable nouns can be counted. They have singular and plural forms, and can be used with numbers and a/an (one apple, two apples; an egg).
- Uncountable nouns cannot be counted. They usually have no plural form and are not used with a/an. We use words like some, much, little (some milk, much water).
Examples: apple, banana, egg (countable); milk, cheese, bread, water, information (uncountable).
