Grammar Focus: Pronouns: Personal, Possessive, and Object
Pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition.
- Subject pronouns (do the action): I, you, he, she, it, we, they.
- Object pronouns (receive the action): me, you, him, her, it, us, them.
- Possessive adjectives (before a noun): my, your, his, her, its, our, their.
- Possessive pronouns (stand alone): mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs.
Example: This is my car. It is mine. She gave the book to me.
