Grammar Focus: Present Perfect (Basic)

The Present Perfect talks about experiences or actions at an unspecified time in the past, or actions that started in the past and continue to the present.

Structure: Subject + have/has + past participle (V3).

  • Experiences: I have traveled to many countries.
  • Started in the past, continue: with for / since: I have lived here for five years.
  • Recent actions: with just, already, yet: I have just finished my homework.

Keywords: ever, never, already, just, yet, for, since.
