Grammar Focus: Adverbs of Frequency

Adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens. They are often used with the present simple: always (100%), usually (~90%), often (~70%), sometimes (~50%), rarely (~10%), never (0%).

Position in a sentence:

  1. Before the main verb: Our speakers always deliver engaging presentations.
  2. After the verb 'to be': Her talks are usually thought-provoking.
