Grammar Focus: Second Conditional
The Second Conditional talks about hypothetical or unlikely situations in the present or future, and their imaginary results.
Form: If + Past Simple, would + base verb.
- Unreal/hypothetical: If influencers didn't exist, marketing would be very different.
- Imaginary results: If you followed an influencer, you would buy products they recommend.
- Advice (If I were you...): If I were an influencer, I would focus on environmental issues. (Use were for all subjects.)
